Happy 2nd Birthday Nolan

Happy Birthday Nolie. To look back two years ago and to look at Nolan now is truly amazing. Even in the last few months he has changed so much. He says so many words, makes it very clear if he wants something, gives the best running hugs that are out there, and is still so snuggly (when he wants to be..not as much as mommy would like). He is so much fun and makes us better people for having him in our lives. When I was pregnant with Nolan I had those natural thoughts which sound so ridiculous now to even say. How could I possibly love another child as much as I loved my little Tessa? To even think about that seems so silly but I remember just not knowing if I could love my second baby as much as I loved my first. Well, it's possible. And I think that I not only love them the absolute same amount (which by the way is a TON) but I love them even more because of them being a pair, a little team. We are so very blessed. Look at our little 2 year old football player. Happy birthday buddy :)

Winding up to throw...of course making Daddy proud :)

First Day of School

It was the first day of school today for three out of the four members of our family. Derek started today with his new group of freshmen, I started with my 7th graders, and Miss Tessa had her first day of 4K today! I was soooo nervous thinking of my little munchkin getting on that school bus. We went to visit the school buses at an open house last night and she wanted nothing to do with them. Nolan was all about it and so mad that we weren't going to actually get on one, but Miss Tessa just wanted to leave the bus open house and go home. The poor girl is like her mommy...loves being home where we feel comfortable. Anything out of the ordinary scares us a little :)

So needless to say I was a little nervous today. Okay, so I was a lotta nervous today. She doesn't get picked up until 11:30 so shortly after that I called our "God-send" Stephie (the kids daycare provider). She took tons of pictures and spent about five minutes describing every move that happened and every little detail of the bus arriving and Tessa getting on. Tessa loved it. Of course I probably ended up being more nervous than her. My baby is growing up. I'm so proud of her that she did so well. Hopefully day #2 goes just as well but this time she'll get picked up from Grandma's. I'll be calling you at 11:31 tomorrow mom...hope the report is the same as Stephie's was today...that Tessa got onto the bus full of excitement.

Below are a few pics of Tessa's first day of 4K. The first one is at home because on the first day of school everyone needs a photo of their child on the front step, right?!? The rest of the pics below that are from Stephie's. Tessa has a friend from daycare, Ryan, who goes to school with her. They are cute little buddies. Good job today Tessaroo.

Tessa on the front step before heading to Stephie's.

Ryan and Tessa waiting for the bus on Stephie's front step. (Isn't Ryan the cutest thing!?!)

Here we go Ryan. Man that bus is big compared to us. The bus is about the same size as our gigantic backpacks!

Here we go on the bus. These steps are huge too, like the bus and our backpacks! Save a spot for me Ryan!

Thanks for saving me a spot Ryan!

Stephie, we are home! School was sooooo much fun!

Tessa's first picture from 4K. There will be many more I'm sure but I had to at least take a picture of the first one:)
